Karin L. Roberson, Registered Paraplanner
The opportunity to chat with clients who call or come by the office, continual work on client updates, verifying transactions, as well as maintaining data in the firm's client management software, each keep Karin aware of the personal aspects of financial planning. The face-to-face customer contact has been a change from the technical administrative work she did in the Engineering and Site Administration departments at her previous company. However, it's a change she continues to value. In fact, she has since earned her designation of Registered Paraplanner through correspondence studies with the College of Financial Planning (Denver, Colorado) in January of 2004.
Karin moved to Clinton at the age of ten and graduated from Clinton High School in 1991. She went on to major in Art at Mississippi College, spent a semester in London in 1994 as part of the college's London Semester Program, and graduated in 1995. She then completed her master's degree in World Mission and Evangelism at Asbury Theological Seminary (Wilmore, Kentucky) in 1998. Her most recent studies, mentioned above, enable her to develop a key "foundation" of comprehensive financial planning, gaining basic, practical knowledge of all aspects of the financial services industry.
Simply put, Karin enjoys the personal aspect of working in an independent financial planning firm. In her own words... "What I like most about working here is the care for the clients. Everyone here wants to help our clients meet their financial goals, and I know that the work I do plays an important part."
